About Me

aliciainabaco: Hello! Greetings from the Islands! I am Alicia- a daughter, sister, and newly wed...and I love to love and live. I am 34 and had been living the city life for the last 11 years in midtown Atlanta. I had my own private practice in mental health therapy and also worked in a psych hospital. I now live in the Bahamas and have recently made some big changes in my life (with more to come). With much encouragement and support of friends, I have created this blog to document my journey as I transition from stilettos and structure to flip-flops and flexibility. I am not a formal writer and have never tried to be; my brother has the journalism talent...but I will do my best to share this adventure with you; through pictures and stories of life's lessons. Thank you to my fiancee, Benjamin, who has made this transition possible. I forever love you, our "mutual weirdness" and whatever life offers us. And thank you to Dr. Suess for providing such inspiring and quirky sayings, as in the title of this blog and probably more posts to come.
